It has been a busy start to the year, with Winter Trials taking place, Premier League Preseason underway, our Jets Family Fun Day being held, and Summer CND Finals commencing next week.
Winter Trials are always a challenging time, and unfortunately, as we all know, it’s a time that often doesn’t result in pleasing everybody. But I’m sure everyone would understand, that trying to balance teams and sort positions for 200 players is a huge task. So a BIG thank you must go to all our Coaches, Selectors, Court Co-ordinators and Committee Members, for assisting throughout the trial process.
A big welcome to our new families and players who have joined Jets for 2018, and welcome back to all our existing Club girls and families as well.
On behalf of the Committee, I’d like to welcome back our Club Coaches and new Coaches to the Club, along with our Club Volunteers, Committee Members and Umpires. Thank you for giving up your time and efforts towards the development of our girls and Club.

Welcome and Hello from our Premier League 2018 Squad.
The Jets PL preseason started with a squad of 27 players in mid-November 2017 with 14 players carrying over from the previous season. Adding so many new athletes into our program brings many new and exciting skill sets and personalities to work with.
The squad worked extremely hard over the preseason period (until February 20th) with 4 new Inter players involved from day one, who all showed hard work and dedication along with the rest of our players. Having Inter players involved also shows that our Club pathway program is working, which is a positive move forward for our Club.
At the end of February the preseason squad was reduced to our on-court squad of 20 players.

The Metro Jets Coloured Shirt program has kicked off to a great start this summer season. All 8 girls (Charlie Bradford, Laura Duncan, Imogen Graham, Isabelle Grinham, Caitlin Eichner, Annalese Dunbar, Montana Dunbar & Teagan Dunbar) have improved beyond expectations. Their application of the rules, for learner umpires, is fantastic and they are always looking for feedback and clarification. Keep an eye out in winter season for them cruising up the grades.
